The Bay's best known triumph is stopping the Irvine Ranch Water District's IRWD's stated intention is still to ultimately get permission to dump their wastewater into our bay. So, although we have won the first round, IRWD continues to work to loosen health standards and make it easier for them to pollute the bay with treated sewage. We expect IRWD to reapply for another permit at anytime and we will be ready to vigorously oppose them. If
